 AFE Regenerative Unit

Product Introduction

As a compact, fully integrated all-in-one solution, the AFE regenerative unit delivers exceptional low-harmonic performance and full regenerative capability, standing as the ultimate choice for superior power quality and maximum energy savings. Engineered for user-friendliness, it offers effortless setup and installation, guaranteed operational safety, and flexible parallel operation of multiple units with complete, high-precision current sharing. It is ideally suited for applications demanding rapid deceleration, precision positioning and dynamic braking, such as mine hoists, elevators, textile machinery, paper manufacturing equipment, centrifuges, industrial washing machines, wire drawing machines, proportional motion systems, and overhead cranes.

The ZONCN AFE Regenerative Unit (hereafter referred to as the AFE Unit) feeds energy generated by the motor during braking back to the power grid. It achieves reliable effective braking while recovering and reusing more than 95% of regenerative power. Equipped with full-suite overtemperature, overvoltage and overcurrent protections, the unit boasts core advantages of low noise, low harmonic pollution, and high power factor.

Operating Principle of AFE Regenerative Unit

The regenerative unit inverts the energy generated during motor braking and fed into the inverter DC bus into an AC sine wave that is synchronized and in-phase with the power grid, thereby feeding the electric energy back to the grid.
