Overview of Air Compressor

However, due to the high energy operating costs associated with air compressors, major enterprises have gradually adopted variable-frequency air compressors to improve operational efficiency. Compared with conventional direct‑drive air compressors, they can significantly enhance the overall system efficiency.

Air Compressor Operating Process
1:Suction Stage: The air compressor has a pair of male and female rotors that rotate to complete air compression. Air is drawn into the clearance at the intake end through the suction port, and the male and female rotors get ready for compression. The suction process ends when the female rotor is fully filled with air along its entire length.
2:Compression Stage: The male rotor starts to mesh with the corresponding female rotor. Air is trapped when passing through the seal line, and the male rotor begins to compress the trapped air.
3:Discharge Stage: The squeezing motion of the male rotor gradually reduces the volume of the trapped air and pushes it to the discharge end simultaneously to complete the discharge.
Installation and configuration of SP600 on the air compressor
The upper computer of this equipment control system adopts a special controller for air compressors for PID closed-loop control. The touch screen and SP600 inverter in the system use Modbus communication method to achieve frequency adjustment, and simultaneously collect real-time online parameters such as inverter current, voltage, and power consumption.
